10M Americans in southwest under flood watch

According to CNN, a vast area of the southwest United States

comprising over 10 million people, is under flood warning due

to a probable tropical cyclone. "The scene is set for southern

Arizona and New Mexico to potentially experience prodigious

rainfall and extensive flash flooding today," stated the National

Weather Service (NWS) Weather Prediction Center (WPC) on Saturday.

The WPC has issued a "moderate risk" warning for significant

rainfall in southeast Arizona, southwest and central New Mexico

and western Arizona, the Texas panhandle, and the Four Corners and Rockies area.
